The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Film Disc 775L measures 5 inches in diameter with NH fitting and has a 120 grit ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive. It features 3M precision shaped triangular ceramic grains designed to slice through substrates rather than gouging, enabling the disc to cut up to twice as fast and last up to six times longer than conventional abrasives. The film backing provides greater tear resistance and enhanced edge retention compared to paper discs, improving durability. This Hookit™ disc type attaches to hook-and-loop backup pads (sold separately) for easy removal, clean replacement, and reusability throughout the abrasive’s life. It is suitable for a broad range of applications including stock removal on metals, composites, Gelcoat, and whitewood, and is ideal for AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, as well as paint and lacquer sanding in cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture industries. The product is designed to provide finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs like 3M™ Stikit™. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders.
