The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ clean sanding film disc 775L, sized 5" x NH with 150 grit aluminum, features 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, a triangular shaped ceramic mineral designed to slice through substrates rather than gouging, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2 times faster and lasts up to 6 times longer than conventional abrasives. These discs are suitable for a broad range of stock removal applications and work effectively on metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, enhancing durability and edge retention. For optimal performance, they are recommended for use with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders. The Hookit™ discs utilize a hook-and-loop attachment system that allows them to be conveniently mounted on hook-and-loop backup disc pads (sold separately), enabling clean and easy removal and multiple reuses over the abrasive life. Their proprietary multi-hole pattern efficiently evacuates dust at a higher rate than 5- or 6-hole products, improving cutting efficiency without requiring hole alignment during disc changes. The open coat construction spaces abrasive grains to facilitate dust evacuation and prevent clogging, while the load-resistant coating further enhances performance by resisting debris buildup.
