The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a 30" diameter sanding disc with 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for heavy-duty sanding and grinding applications. It features a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that securely adheres to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient application and clean removal. The disc is constructed with a heat-resistant resin bond and durable cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy use. The closed coat aluminum oxide abrasive provides a fast cut rate and long life, self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges during use. This abrasive is effective on metal surfaces, including ferrous alloys, and is widely used in metal fabrication and primary wood and panel processing industries.
