The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D is a heavy-duty 24" diameter sanding disc with NH 50 grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications. It features a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, providing durability and stability under high temperatures and pressure. The disc includes a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that allows it to be easily adhered to a backup pad or steel platen (backup pad sold separately) for efficient application and clean removal on disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. The aluminum oxide abrasive is in a closed coat configuration, offering a fast cut-rate and long life by self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges during use. This abrasive is suitable for a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys, making it ideal for grinding, dual action sanding, deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. Typical applications include flat area sanding, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing. The product is designed for use in metal fabrication and woodworking industries.
