The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel measures 1" x 1" x 3/16" and features a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This tightly layered, durable unitized wheel is available in medium to hard densities and is designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, especially where portability is required. It replaces many conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. The wheel’s construction combines aluminum oxide, known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, with a tough nylon web, delivering a smooth-running, fast-cutting operation that resists loading and runs cool. Aluminum oxide is a preferred mineral for its self-fracturing ability, exposing fresh cutting edges throughout use, and is suitable for grinding a wide variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking.
