The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Film Disc 775L features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, which offers a significant advancement in abrasive technology with a design that slices through substrates rather than gouging or plowing like conventional abrasives. This results in a disc that cuts up to 2x faster and lasts up to 6x longer than traditional abrasives. The discs are suitable for a wide range of applications primarily focused on stock removal and work effectively on various substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing enhances durability by providing greater tear resistance compared to paper discs. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use these discs with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders. The 3M™ Stikit™ system allows for easy application due to the pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, making it simple to attach and remove the discs without leaving residue. Each Stikit™ disc must be used with a Stikit™ backup pad, which is sold separately and compatible with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. Typical applications include AOEM finish prep/repair, defect repair/leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, paint/lacquer sanding for cabinetry, custom woodworking, and millwork, with relevant industries being cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, and furniture.
