The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ clean sanding film disc 775L is a 5" diameter, 80 grit abrasive featuring 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, which consists of triangular shaped ceramic minerals designed to slice through substrates rather than gouge, allowing the disc to cut up to twice as fast and last up to six times longer than conventional abrasives. This film disc includes a backing with greater tear resistance than paper, providing enhanced durability and edge retention, and is suited for stock removal across a variety of substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. It utilizes a proprietary multi-hole pattern for superior dust evacuation without requiring hole alignment to the disc pad, facilitating quick and simple disc changes, and features an open coat construction to prevent loading by spacing abrasive grains apart, combined with a load-resistant coating to further reduce clogging. Designed for use with 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop style attachment systems (backup disc pad sold separately), the discs can be removed and reused multiple times throughout their abrasive life, offering finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs like the 3M™ Stikit™.
