The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Paper Disc 732U is a 5" diameter, NH (non-hole) disc with 80 grit ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive featuring 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, which slices through substrates for faster cutting and longer life, cutting up to 2 times faster and lasting up to 4 times longer than conventional abrasives. It has a C-weight paper backing suitable for sanding applications where edge retention is not a primary requirement. These discs are designed for a broad range of stock removal applications on metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood, and are best used with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders. The Hookit™ discs attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), allowing for clean, easy removal and reusability throughout the abrasive life, making them preferable in environments where adhesive-backed discs might be contaminated by dust or dirt and where finer finishes are desired compared to adhesive-backed Stikit™ discs. Typical applications include orbital sanding for cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, and primary wood and panel processing.
