The 3M™ Hookit™ Paper D/F Disc 216U, sized 5" with NH attachment and P320 grit, features aluminum oxide abrasive on a lightweight paper backing designed for finishing applications with a random orbital sander on wood, primer, paint, sealers, topcoats, fiberglass, and plastics. It has an open coat construction and load-resistant coating to prevent clogging and optimize both cut and disc life. The Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system allows for fast, easy disc changes and repeated use throughout the abrasive’s lifespan. Aluminum oxide abrasive is chosen for its fast cut rate, long life, and ability to self-fracture, providing fresh cutting edges. This makes the disc suitable for a variety of materials, including woodworking, metalworking, and ferrous alloys. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair/leveling, and orbital sanding, with industries served including AOEM and marine.
