The 3M™ Hookit™ film disc 360L 5" x NH P400 grit aluminum oxide features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a durable film backing designed for fine sanding on plastics, gel coats, and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The sturdy film backing provides durability required for high-production environments and resists edge tearing, offering longer life compared to discs with standard A-weight paper backings. The film backing ensures a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it suitable for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, and sanding automotive primer. The disc features an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating to help reduce loading. It includes the 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment on the backing for easy re-use and quick attachment to the low-profile 3M™ Hookit™ disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Aluminum oxide abrasive is known for its fast cut-rate, long life, and self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking on various materials, including ferrous alloys. The 3M™ Hookit™ film disc 360L is available in a range of grades for tasks from fine sanding to finishing, and is part of a line of hook-and-loop style discs designed for environments where adhesive backed discs are susceptible to contamination by dust, dirt, or debris.
