The 3M™ HOOKIT™ Gold Film Disc 255L 5" x NH P80 grit features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing designed for fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finishing on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. The flexible film backing offers a consistent finish and greater tear-resistance compared to comparable paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. Constructed of durable aluminum oxide, it works well for most wood species. The open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, and a special loading resistant coating addresses loading issues. This disc is ideal for AOEM finish prep and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing industries.
