The 3M™ Hookit™ Paper Disc 216U is a 5" diameter, P400 grit aluminum oxide abrasive on a lightweight paper backing designed for finishing applications using a random orbital sander on wood, primer, paint, sealers, topcoats, fiberglass, and plastics. The disc features an open coat construction and a load-resistant coating to prevent clogging, optimize cut, and extend disc life. It utilizes the 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system for fast and easy disc changes, allowing multiple uses throughout the abrasive life. The aluminum oxide abrasive provides a fast cut rate, long life, and self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for woodworking, metalworking, and ferrous alloys. Typical applications include AOEM finish prep/repair, defect repair/leveling, and orbital sanding.
