The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Film Disc Roll 775L measures 5" in diameter and features 180 grit aluminum oxide with 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, a triangular shaped ceramic mineral designed to slice through substrates rather than gouging, allowing the disc to cut up to twice as fast and last up to six times longer than conventional abrasives. The disc is suitable for a wide range of stock removal applications on substrates such as metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. It has a film backing that provides greater tear resistance, durability, and edge retention compared to paper discs. This Stikit™ system disc comes with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, making it simple to attach and remove from a Stikit backup pad, which must be used and is sold separately. The disc is compatible with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, and stationary disc sanders, with best results when paired with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders. Typical applications include AOEM finish prep and repair, defect repair and leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture manufacturing.
