The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Film Disc Roll 775L measures 6 inches by NH and has a 150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, designed to slice through substrates rather than gouging, enabling the disc to cut up to twice as fast and last up to six times longer than conventional abrasives. This film-backed disc offers greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper discs, making it suitable for a wide range of applications focused on stock removal across various substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The disc uses the 3M™ Stikit™ system with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad, which must be attached to a disc sander such as a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander; the Stikit discs can also be easily peeled off, leaving a clean pad surface. Recommended for use with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders, this product is employed in applications such as AOEM finish prep and repair, defect repair and leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture manufacturing.
