The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Light Deburring Wheel measures 12" x 2" x 5" with a FIN 8S grit silicon carbide abrasive, featuring a smooth-running, convolute-constructed design for light deburring, polishing, and finishing. This wheel has a soft construction and smooth operation that requires less operator effort compared to harder wheels. It offers a moderate degree of conformability and density to maintain critical tolerances while delivering a fine polished finish. The unique resin system minimizes smearing and reduces heat build-up, enabling the wheel to run cool and resist loading due to its non-woven web construction, thereby reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping and extending wheel life. The fine-grade silicon carbide abrasive used is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation, producing a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide.
