The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc measures 1-1/2" in diameter with a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive. This non-woven fiber disc combines durable construction with the 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system, enabling efficient cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring on irregular or contoured surfaces. The open-web fiber design runs cool and resists loading, while the aluminum oxide mineral provides a high cut-rate and long life. Alternatively, the disc is available with silicon carbide abrasives, which are sharp synthetic minerals suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish but with faster breakdown than aluminum oxide. The Roloc™ backing supports aggressive cutting, and its quick-change system allows secure attachment to Roloc™ disc pads (sold separately), facilitating fast disc changes during multi-step finishing processes or between jobs. Discs are color-coded to identify their grade for easy selection.
