The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ clean sanding film disc 775L 5" 120 grit ceramic aluminum features 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, which uses triangular shaped ceramic mineral designed to slice through substrates rather than gouging, enabling the disc to cut up to 2 times faster and last up to 6 times longer than conventional abrasives. These discs are suitable for a wide range of stock removal applications on various substrates such as metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides greater tear resistance than paper discs, enhancing durability and edge retention. The discs are designed to be used with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders for optimal performance. This product is part of a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs, ideal for work environments where adhesive-backed discs risk contamination by dust or dirt; Hookit™ discs provide finer finishes compared to adhesive discs and attach easily to hook-and-loop backup disc pads (sold separately), allowing clean removal and multiple reuse for the life of the abrasive. The sanding discs incorporate a proprietary multi-hole pattern to evacuate dust more efficiently than 5- or 6-hole alternatives without requiring hole alignment with the disc pad, simplifying disc changes. The open coat construction spaces abrasive grains to facilitate dust removal and avoid clogging of the cutting edge, while the load-resistant coating prevents loading of the cutting surface. The disc measures 5 inches in diameter with a grit size of 120 and is constructed with ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive for high performance. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
