The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cross Buff is a 1-1/2" x 3/8" x 2 ply abrasive tool with an 8-32 high strength medium aluminum oxide abrasive designed to polish, clean, satin finish, denib, and defuzz the interior diameters of metal components such as lifter bores, valve bodies, valve spools, and tubing. The nylon web conformability makes it effective for removing surface oxidation, rust, and corrosion on dies and molds prior to coating and polishing. Its 2-ply staggered design allows it to get into hard-to-reach areas, while its adaptability to interior contours delivers consistent abrasive action. The abrasive grades used can produce high-luster finishes, and the tool's load resistance helps maintain peak cut rate throughout its life. Typical applications include blending, cleaning internal diameters, and deburring internal diameters.
