The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish unitized wheel measures 2 inches in diameter, 1/8 inch in thickness, and 1/8 inch in arbor hole size, featuring a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive. This tightly layered, durable unitized wheel is designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, ideal for applications requiring portability and small diameters with narrow widths. It replaces conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels, combining aluminum oxide mineral with a tough nylon web for uniform results. The wheel’s tightly layered construction offers smooth operation, fast cutting, cool running, and resistance to loading. The aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is chosen for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, long life, and low heat retention, making it effective on a variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys in woodworking and metalworking.
