Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Discs combine conformable material and abrasive mineral to effectively blend, clean, and polish surfaces on a wide variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, wood, and fiberglass, producing a clean, consistent finish without undercutting or damaging the base material. These discs are designed to get into hard-to-reach areas and are suitable for finishing, paint preparation, surface blending, scuffing applications, contour finishing, and lacquer sanding. The flexible discs facilitate uniform finishes, while the abrasive minerals, including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, and talc, deliver effective performance. Silicon carbide is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications, aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and longevity, and talc provides a satin finish or high gloss in topcoat rubbing applications. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate these abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, resulting in a unique abrasive system that ensures consistent performance throughout the product's life. The open-web material runs cool and is resistant to loading, which helps to maintain high performance by minimizing clogging.
