The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ film disc 775L 5" x NH 80 grit ceramic aluminum oxide features 3M precision shaped ceramic grain designed to slice through the substrate rather than gouging, enabling the disc to cut up to 2 times faster and last up to 6 times longer than conventional abrasives. This film disc is intended for a broad range of stock removal applications and effective on substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. It has a durable film backing offering greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper discs. The Hookit™ disc uses a hook-and-loop attachment system for quick removal and reattachment to a backup disc pad (sold separately), allowing it to be reused throughout its abrasive life. These discs are recommended for use with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders and provide finer finishes than adhesive-backed Stikit™ discs. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture manufacturing.
