The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc measures 6" and features NH CRS grit aluminum oxide abrasives. It is constructed from durable, non-woven fiber that conforms to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The open-web material runs cool and resists loading, allowing prolonged operation while evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. The aluminum oxide abrasive is known for its cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing on a wide variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys in woodworking and metalworking. The abrasive is embedded in non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, forming a system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life and limits clogging. The disc is ideal for applications such as blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, light grinding, rust removal, and weld cleaning, and is used across industries including aerospace, general industrial, marine, metalworking, MRO, transportation, and heavy equipment.
