The 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Film Disc 268XA measures 5 inches in diameter with an NH (nut and hole) attachment and features A35 grit aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. Manufactured using proprietary micro-replication technology, the disc consists of micron-graded aluminum oxide particles formed into tiny pyramids on a film backing, which continually expose fresh, sharp mineral as they wear, producing a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish. The disc is designed for use on a variety of solid surfaces and topcoats, meeting most finish and process requirements, and is compatible with rotary or random orbital tools. It features the 3M™ Hookit™ attachment system for quick mounting and secure positioning on hook-and-loop backup disc pads (sold separately), allowing for easy clean removal and multiple reuses throughout the disc’s life. The disc can be operated wet or dry and offers superior durability and finish control, enabling operators to reduce grade sequences and process steps. The three-dimensional pyramidal structures are uniformly distributed, ensuring consistent performance and eliminating disc-to-disc variation. The product is built to last longer than conventional abrasives and maintain sharpness for predictable finishes and consistent quality.
