The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ film disc 775L measures 5" in diameter with a NH (no-hole) design and features 180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It incorporates 3M precision shaped ceramic grain, a triangular shaped ceramic mineral that slices through substrates rather than gouging, allowing the disc to cut up to twice as fast and last up to six times longer than conventional abrasives. The film backing provides greater tear resistance compared to paper discs, enhancing durability and edge retention. These discs are suitable for stock removal on a variety of substrates including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. They are designed to be used with 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop backup pads (sold separately) for secure attachment, easy clean removal, and multiple reuses throughout the abrasive’s life. Ideal applications include OEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, and furniture industries. For optimal performance, pairing with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders is recommended.
