It features layered, durable unitized wheel construction with a hard 7 density and low conformability, making it suitable for use with portable tools and die grinders to access tight or confined areas. The wheel incorporates extra coarse silicon carbide mineral within a tough synthetic web, effectively tackling scale, rust, surface contaminants, paints, and coatings. It is particularly effective for removing weld discoloration and splatter. The dense, open-web construction provides a smooth running wheel that resists loading, even during the removal of soft coatings. This abrasive mineral is an extra coarse grade of silicon carbide, known for its sharpness and efficacy in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. While it has a faster breakdown rate compared to aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish.
