The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel measures 6" x 1/4" x 1/2" and is a tightly layered, durable wheel available in medium to hard densities, designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals and for portable applications. This wheel serves as an excellent starting point for tasks requiring small diameters and narrow widths and can replace conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. It incorporates aluminum oxide abrasive mineral combined with a tough nylon web to produce uniform results. The tightly layered unitized construction and aggressive properties ensure a smooth running, fast cutting wheel that runs cool and resists loading. Aluminum oxide is chosen for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, long life, and low heat retention, making it suitable for grinding on a wide variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. The Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives consist of abrasives embedded in non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, forming an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life.
