The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 7/8" arbor hole and features an 80 grit ceramic grain Type 27 wheel designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework. It is particularly suited for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where achieving a final finish and gouge resistance is critical. The disc utilizes 3M precision-shaped grain for maintaining super-sharp cutting points that deliver fast cutting action with less pressure. Engineered to operate cooler, it reduces metal discoloration, oxidation, and the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The flaps enable grinding and blending in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that provides controlled, even wear for full disc utilization. The disc includes a grinding aid that minimizes temperatures for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Typical applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing.
