The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D 6" x NH P100 grit aluminum oxide is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for high heat and heavy-duty applications, featuring a heat-resistant resin bond and a cloth backing. It uses aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat for fast cutting in grinding and dual action sanding on metal surfaces. The disc is coated with a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that adheres securely to a backup pad or steel platen (backup pad sold separately) for efficient use with disc sanders, including random orbital and stationary disc sanders. Aluminum oxide provides a durable abrasive that self-fractures to maintain cutting efficiency, suitable for a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys. The disc excels in applications such as deburring, blending, cleaning, finishing metal parts, and processing flat areas through grinding and orbital sanding in metal fabrication and primary wood and panel processing industries.
