The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D is a 10" diameter sanding disc with a P100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for heavy-duty sanding applications. It features a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that securely adheres to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient use and clean removal. The disc includes a heat-resistant resin bond and a durable cloth backing, making it suitable for high-heat and heavy-duty sanding tasks. The aluminum oxide particles are arranged in a closed coat, providing a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal surfaces. This disc is ideal for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts and various shaped surfaces. It attaches to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander via a backup pad, which is sold separately. Aluminum oxide abrasive offers long life and fast cut-rate due to its toughness and self-fracturing properties that reveal fresh cutting edges during use. The heat-resistant resin bond ensures stability of the abrasive attachment under conditions of high heat and pressure.
