The 3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 7/8" arbor hole and features 60 grit ceramic grain, type 29 wheel. It is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, particularly suited for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish and gouge resistance are critical. The disc incorporates 3M precision-shaped grain that maintains super-sharp points for exceptionally fast cutting with less pressure. Engineered to run cooler, it reduces metal discoloration, oxidation, and minimizes the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The flap disc performs grinding and blending in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that ensures controlled, even wear for full utilization under low to medium-high pressure conditions. It includes a grinding aid to minimize grinding temperatures for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Typical applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing.
