The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty 9" sanding disc with a P100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for metal fabrication and primary wood and panel processing industries. It features a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that securely attaches to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient application and clean removal. The disc incorporates a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding tasks. Its closed-coat aluminum oxide abrasive delivers a fast cut rate ideal for grinding, dual action sanding, deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and various surfaces. The abrasive is durable, self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges, and suitable for use on ferrous alloys and other woodworking and metalworking materials. The resin bond maintains abrasive stability under high heat and pressure conditions. This versatile sanding disc is compatible with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, and stationary disc sanders when used with the appropriate backup pad (sold separately), providing a reliable solution for flat areas and various metal fabrication applications.
