3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A is a 7" diameter by 7/8" arbor flap disc with 40 grit ceramic grain, designed as a Type 29 wheel for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework. It is particularly suited for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish quality and gouge resistance are critical. The disc features 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology that maintains super-sharp points for fast cutting with less pressure and is engineered to run cooler to reduce metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. The flaps grind and blend surfaces in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that provides controlled, even wear for full usage under such pressure conditions. Additionally, the disc incorporates a grinding aid to minimize grinding temperatures, making it suitable for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys.
