3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications, featuring a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that ensures efficient application and clean removal when adhered to a backup pad or steel platen. This disc is constructed with a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it ideal for various tasks including deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of different sizes and shapes. It incorporates aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat for a quick cut, making it suitable for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. The PSA disc can be pressed onto a backup pad, which is sold separately, allowing compatibility with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, and stationary disc sanders.
