3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for efficient application and clean removal, featuring a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing that adheres to a backup pad or steel platen. This sanding disc is constructed with a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy duty sanding applications. It utilizes aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat that provide a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. The versatile disc efficiently performs deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing on various metal parts and surfaces. The PSA disc is designed to be pressed onto a backup pad, which is available separately, and can be used with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. The aluminum oxide abrasive, favored by industrial professionals for its fast cut-rate and durability, self-fractures to maintain sharp cutting edges during use, outperforming traditional abrasives like garnet.
