The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D measures 20" in diameter with NH 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, featuring a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing that securely adheres to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient application and clean removal. Designed for heavy-duty sanding, it has a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing suitable for high heat and demanding sanding tasks. The aluminum oxide abrasive is applied in a closed coat, providing a fast cut for grinding and dual action sanding on metal surfaces, making it ideal for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts of various sizes and shapes. The disc attaches via PSA to a backup pad (sold separately) used with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. Aluminum oxide offers fast cutting, long life, and self-fracturing for fresh cutting edges, excelling in wood and metal applications, including ferrous alloys. Its heat-resistant resin bond ensures durability and bond stability under high heat and pressure conditions.
