The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a 6" diameter, NH 40 grit sanding disc made with aluminum oxide abrasive in a closed coat pattern. It features a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing designed to adhere firmly to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient application and clean removal. The disc is constructed with a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding tasks. Its aluminum oxide particles provide a fast cut, self-fracturing to expose fresh cutting edges for longer life and are widely used in grinding as well as sanding and finishing applications on ferrous alloys and other materials in metalworking and woodworking. The disc is intended for use with disc sanders, including random orbital and stationary models, and is ideal for blending, deburring, grinding, and surface finishing on flat areas and various shapes. This sanding solution is commonly employed in metal fabrication and primary wood and panel processing industries.
