The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D is an 18" diameter, 36 grit aluminum oxide heavy-duty sanding disc featuring a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing designed to adhere to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient application and clean removal. It incorporates a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications. The aluminum oxide particles are arranged in a closed coat, providing a fast cut ideal for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. This disc is versatile for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. The PSA disc is pressed onto a backup pad (sold separately), which attaches to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
