The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D measures 2" in diameter with a NH (non-hex) attachment and features 40 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is a heavy-duty sanding disc equipped with a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing designed to adhere efficiently to a backup pad or steel platen, allowing for clean removal. The disc incorporates a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications. The aluminum oxide abrasive is arranged in a closed coat pattern, offering a fast cut rate ideal for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal surfaces. This versatile disc is used for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. The PSA disc is intended for use with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders when pressed onto a separately sold backup pad.
