The SpillTech® 55 gallon open head drum is a robust solution for emergency spill response and shipping containers, designed for versatile material handling in various workplace settings. This drum is made from blow-molded HDPE construction, which resists extreme weather conditions and most chemicals while being 100% recyclable and completely incinerable. It is United Nations (UN) certified to HM-181 and approved for use with packing groups I, II, and III. The drum features a lever lock closure for safe storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials, making it suitable for biowaste disposal and incineration, as well as serving as an original shipping container. Additional attributes include a UV protection package, a UL 94HB flammability rating, and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 food grade quality. The operating temperature range is from -30 degrees F to 130 degrees F, and the drum has been stack tested three high at maximum weight capacity for 24 hours and drop tested at maximum weight at 0 degrees F for 48 hours. It is also nestable for convenient storage, enhancing its utility in various applications.
