Disposable non-sterile PTFE hydrophobic filtration media syringe filters feature Luer-Lok™ and pressure fitting, ensuring reliability through ultrasonic bonding. The filter media type is clearly inscribed on the barrel, providing excellent unit-to-unit and lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistency. The unique concentric funnel-shaped barrel design increases volume while decreasing back pressure, allowing for optimal utilization of small sample volumes. PTFE membranes, being inherently hydrophobic, are ideal for the filtration of nonpolar liquids and gases and exhibit strong resistance to solvents, acids, and bases, offering excellent chemical compatibility for filtering harsh chemicals that could damage other membrane materials. These filters are suitable for a variety of applications, including filtering and de-gassing chromatography solvents, filtering viscous organic-based HPLC samples, aerosol sampling, and serving as moisture barriers for venting applications and vacuum pump line protection. They can also facilitate fine particle removal from aqueous and mild organic solutions in ion chromatography after pre-wetting with alcohol, and can be made more hydrophilic by flushing with alcohol followed by water. Each package contains a quantity of 100 filters.
