The disposable sterile filtration units are 100 ml in size and feature a white, gridded nitrocellulose membrane filter with a pore size of 0.45 µm, packaged in quantities of 50. This all-in-one sterile assembly combines a 100 ml filtration unit and a Petri dish with a lid to minimize contamination risks. Each unit is preloaded with a 0.45 µm mixed cellulose ester membrane and pad with a grid, which eliminates the need for transfer steps and manual manipulation. The lid is equipped with a built-in magnification lens for colony counting, ensuring reliable and reproducible results across different units and lots. The technical specifications include a membrane material of cellulose nitrate, a membrane diameter of 47 mm, and a membrane color of white with a black grid. Notably, the membrane is not welded to the cup, and the filtration unit is constructed from polypropylene that has been sterilized by gamma irradiation.
