Disposable non-sterile PTFE hydrophobic filtration media syringe filters are designed with Luer-Lok™ and pressure fitting for secure connections. These filters are ultrasonically bonded for enhanced reliability, and the filter media type is clearly inscribed on the barrel, ensuring excellent unit-to-unit and lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistency. The unique concentric funnel-shaped barrel increases volume while decreasing back pressure, making it suitable for optimal utilization of small sample volumes. The PTFE membranes are inherently hydrophobic, making them ideal for the filtration of nonpolar liquids and gases, and they exhibit high resistance to solvents, acids, and bases, providing excellent chemical compatibility for filtering harsh chemicals that can damage other membrane materials. They are suitable for filtering and de-gassing chromatography solvents or filtering viscous organic-based HPLC samples. Furthermore, these filters are ideal for aerosol sampling and can serve as a moisture barrier for venting applications and vacuum pump line protection. After pre-wetting with alcohol, they can also be utilized for fine particle removal of aqueous and mild organic solutions in ion chromatography. The filters can be made more hydrophilic by flushing with alcohol followed by water. The product is sold in a package quantity of 100.
