The Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) membranes are biologically inert mixtures of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, resulting in a smoother and more uniform surface compared to pure nitrocellulose. These membranes are designed for easy handling, exhibiting less cracking and fracturing than traditional cellulose nitrate membranes, with a pure surface that requires no additional smoothing treatment or surfactants. They are certified for microbiological analysis of potable, waste, process, and natural waters in accordance with the membrane filter technique outlined in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 20th Edition, as well as the U.S. EPA's microbiological methods for environmental monitoring, 600/8-78-017. Additionally, these membranes are suitable for air monitoring applications and comply with NIOSH requirements for airborne metals and asbestos monitoring. Each package contains a quantity of 100 membranes.
