The general purpose capacitor start-inductor run motor features a 1/3 HP output and operates at 1140 RPM with a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure, designed in a 56 frame with a rigid mount. It supports a voltage range of 115/208-230V, is single-phase (1PH), and functions at a frequency of 60Hz. The motor has a nameplate amperage of 7.8/3.9 and is built for continuous duty with a service factor of 1.0, although it does not include thermal protection. It is rated with an efficiency of 55 and employs standard efficiency type, suitable for an ambient temperature of 40 C. The motor allows for selective counterclockwise (CCW) rotation and features a shaft length of 1-7/8 inches. The TEFC design is free of vent openings, preventing the free exchange of air while allowing for external cooling via an integral external fan. This motor is appropriate for environments exposed to dirt or dampness, although it is not suitable for very moist or hazardous (explosive) locations.
