Made in the USA, Nordfab duct elbows, also known as bends, facilitate the change of airflow direction within a duct line. Standard Nordfab Quick-Fit (QF) elbows are offered in angles of 90°, 60°, 45°, and 30°, and are available in both galvanized and stainless steel (specification required for SS), featuring quick-fit rolled ends. Galvanized QF elbows sized 3"-7" are constructed from press-formed halves that are stitch welded together, while sizes 8"-24" utilize a segmented (gored) design. Stainless steel QF elbows for sizes 3"-6" are manufactured as tubed pieces. For applications requiring enhanced durability, elbows in heavier gauges can be supplied in solid welded construction at an additional cost, with options for longer radiuses and 16-gauge material. For highly abrasive applications or high-wear areas within the duct line, Nordfab XD elbows are available in 14-gauge or 12-gauge, designed to minimize the frequency and costs associated with replacing worn-through elbows. The Quick-Fit ductwork features provide easy clamping together of components with rolled edges, allowing simple connections using a barrel-type clamp and a specially designed gasket that ensures a tight seal. The installation process is streamlined, eliminating the need for rivets, screws, or welding, thereby reducing installation time and downtime by over 45% compared to flanged ductwork. The ducting is also re-usable, making it straightforward to uninstall and relocate as needed, and it can be easily cleaned and re-installed without the need for tools.
