Made in the USA, Nordfab duct elbows, also known as bends, facilitate airflow direction changes in a duct line. Standard Nordfab QF elbows are offered in angles of 90°, 60°, 45°, and 30°, and are available in either galvanized or stainless steel (specify if stainless steel). These elbows feature quick-fit rolled ends, with sizes 3"-7" being press-formed halves stitch welded together, while sizes 8"-24" are segmented (gored). The stainless steel QF elbows in sizes 3"-6" are tubed. Elbows constructed from heavier gauges can be provided in solid welded construction at an additional cost. Longer radiuses and 16 gauge options are also available. For highly abrasive applications or areas prone to high wear within the duct system, Nordfab XD elbows in 14 gauge or 12 gauge may be suitable to minimize the need for frequent replacements of worn-through elbows. The design of Nordfab's Quick-Fit ductwork allows for easy clamping together of components, utilizing a rolled edge on the ends for straightforward connections using a barrel-type clamp, complete with a specially designed gasket to ensure a tight seal. The installation process is quick and efficient, eliminating the need for fasteners such as rivets, screws, or welding, leading to more than a 45% reduction in installation and downtime compared to traditional flanged ductwork. Additionally, the Quick-Fit ducting is reusable, allowing for easy uninstallation and relocation as requirements evolve, and it facilitates straightforward cleaning since it can be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled without the need for tools.
