This heavy-duty drum, pail, or barrel pail heater is engineered with two extra-thick layers of 20 mil fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber, providing excellent strength, durability, and flexibility. It effectively prevents freezing, controls viscosity, and maintains materials at elevated temperatures for both indoor and outdoor use. The patented 360° grounded, multi-stranded heating element, compliant with NEC 427.23, is uniformly distributed to maximize heat distribution and delivers an extra-wide 4" coverage area. The moisture and chemical resistant heater features an adjustable thermostat control with temperature display options in °F and °C, a spring and hook closure that can be expanded to 3", and a 6' L power cord. With a dielectric strength exceeding 2000 volts, it has a maximum exposure temperature on the heating surface of 450°. The unit operates at 1000 watts and 8.33 amps and fits steel drums with a diameter of 18-5/8". The adjustable thermostat has an operating range of 50-425°F, and the 120V model is equipped with a standard 3-prong NEMA 5-15 plug.
