The Formax® FD 262 single-head tabber is engineered for efficiently applying tabs to folded mailpieces while complying with all USPS requirements for mailing and automation discounts. Utilizing "Crash Tab" technology, this machine applies adhesive tabs to the open edge of mailpieces, which then pass through rollers for a secure seal, achieving a speed of up to 12,000 pieces per hour (8 1/2" tri-folds) and accommodating media up to 17" wide and 5/32" thick. Its advanced features include an integrated bottom feeder for continuous operation and a built-in waste take-up spool to minimize downtime. The user-friendly interface boasts a 5-digit resettable LCD counter and tab sensitivity control for adjusting tab stock density. It supports various tab stocks such as translucent, paper, and clear, with diameters up to 1-1/2". The machine allows for flexible tab placement by enabling mailpieces to be fed in different directions. Additionally, the optional FD 282-30 3-foot drop-stacking conveyor enhances productivity with adjustable speeds from 0 - 124 FPM, neatly stacking tabbed pieces for easy removal. The FD 262 tabbing system ensures reliable compliance with evolving postal regulations while maintaining operational efficiency.
