The Jet milling machine features a certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention. It includes a swing-away control box that houses an emergency stop (E-stop) and places all controls within easy reach of the operator. The innovative machine base design allows for easier leveling without the need to raise the machine off the floor. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back contains two 115V outlets for powered accessories, and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings provide maximum rigidity for heavy cutting applications, and the internally cooled spindle head extends the life of bearings, belt, and motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, with the X and Y-axis coated in Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing-away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. The machine has a digital readout (Newall DP700) with three axes (quill), power feed on the X-axis, and an R-8 spindle taper. Its table measures 9" x 49", and the quill diameter is 3-3/8". The spindle offers variable speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM and features quill down feed rates of .0015, .003, and .006 IPR, with a spindle travel of 5". The head can move 90° right and left, and 45° forward and backward, with a maximum distance from spindle to table of 20-3/4". The machine allows a minimum spindle to column distance of 4-3/4" and a maximum of 18-1/8", with a collet capacity of 1/8" to 7/8". The table longitudinal travel measures 36", and with power feed, it measures 30-3/4", while the cross travel is 12-5/8". The table features three T-slots sized 5/8", with T-slot centers spaced 2-1/2". Warranty information is included, providing coverage as specified by the manufacturer.
