The Jet designed certified Meehanite® casting features enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, complemented by a swing away control box that includes an emergency stop and places all controls at the operator's fingertips. The innovative machine base design facilitates leveling without raising it off the floor, while an automatic oiler dispenses 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication every 30 minutes. A heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The machine is CSA/CUS certified and equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings to maximize rigidity during heavy cutting. The internally cooled spindle head extends the life of the bearings, belt, and motor, and the table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy. Coated with Turcite-B, the X and Y-axis offer reduced vibration and smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools.
